Inline with the compliance with the Federal Government’s directive that no tertiary institution should conduct Post-UTME screening from the 2016/2017 academic session, the University of Benin situated in Benin has finally suspended the scheduled Post-UTME screening for 2016/2017 admission process.

This is to notify the general public and those who wrote the previous Jamb and have put the The university of Benin as their first institution.

We have had some report that some schools have actually gone ahead to advertise the screening date for 2016/17 admission. But this screening is not gonna be under the name POST UTME but with another name entirely.

Based on this issue, the minister of education have because of this further reiterated the Federal Government’s resolve to seeing Post-UTME scrapped from its Educational system. We also heard that the minister of Education even instructed universities that must have conducted screening exercise to cancel them and make sure that they refund moneys that was collected back to candidates.

This information was made known by the Vice Chancellors of Universities and their Rectors and Provosts counterparts from Polytechnics and Colleges respectively.
