Why NYSC Postpones 2016 Batch A Orientation Exercise

I recently heard from a neighbor that the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has once again postponed the three week Batch A Orientation programme meant for potential corps members. So i have decided to make this article public about the 2016 PCMs that have been postponed. are therefore all prospective informed of this latest development.

NYSC’s director of press and public relations gave this notice in a message titled “2016 Batch A orientation course: Change of commencement of orientation exercise,’ as it where was published on its official website on Friday, March 18, said the three-week programme, which was earlier scheduled to begin on March 30, would commence on April 27 with registrations.

Mrs Abosede Aderibigbe, the NYSC’s director of press and public relations also did not state any reason for the shift, but did not fail to apologise to the prospective corps members over any inconvenience that the development could create.

The New NYSC time table for 2016 Orientation Course

The new time-table for the course is as follows:

Stream I

Commencement: Wednesday, 27th April, 2016

Swearing-in ceremony: Friday, 29th April, 2016, Close of Camp: Friday, 13th May, 2016

Stream II

Based on the sources we heard from, NYSC had called the attention of its members to the activities of  dangerous hackers who are using this medium to send messages requesting potential corps members to go and check their states of deployment online.

This is how the message reads, “Management wishes to inform prospective corps members that posting to states of deployment has not commenced, but will be done at the appropriate time in line with our laid-down processes.

“ As it where, The link being sent to prospective corps members is the handiwork of cyber criminals and should, therefore, be disregarded. Prospective corps members are particularly warned not to make payments for posting or change of posting as that is clearly the motive of the cyber criminals.
