 We have confirmed that the Federal Government has announced that the 2016 Nigerian Immigration Re-Screening Recruits of 2,000 would now commence from on the 29th August 2016. According to the information we had, the re-screening of 2,000 recruits of the Nigeria Immigration Service NIS are meant for those who were “dispersed” after being trained and issued employment letters during February last year (2015

FG To Begin Re-Screening Of 2000 Immigration Recruits – For the Assistant Superintendent of Immigration II, ASI2 (CONPASS 08) that hails from all the states between Abia and Jigawa in alphabetical order are expected to take their specific turn on August 29 then for those who should fall between Kaduna and Zamfara states would have their turn on the 30th of August.immigration

Then For the position Assistant Inspectors of Immigration, AII (CONPASS 06) all applicants who hail  from Abia to Jigawa state are expected to be sitting for the screening examination on the 31ist of August 2016 then for those who fall between the state of Kaduna to Zamfara would have theirs on September 1st.

For the position of Immigration Assistants IA1 – IA3 (CONPASS 3,4,5), all applicants who are from Abia to Edo states would then be screened on 2nd of September 2016, then for states like Ekiti to Kwara, they will have theirs on September 3 and Lagos to Zamfara, September 4.

To this end. The general public are here informed that the exercise is not a call for fresh recruitment. Therefore, no application for recruitment should be forwarded to the NIS”, the service warned.

This new development came Following an emergency meeting of the Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration, and Prisons Services Board (CDFIPB) which was held on the 11th of August 2016, the following guidelines were issued for the screening of the applicants:

 Based on what we just shared, all applicants whose names were listed in the NIS website: www.immigration.gov.ng are required to report to the NIS Headquarters Abuja with their;

  • academic certificates,
  • birth certificate,
  • previous employment records (if any),
  • indigene certificates (originals and photocopies),
  • two passport photographs,

All applicants should note that the submission/presentation of this documents most be in batches according to the time-table”.
