Ministerial screening: Senators will be thorough – Kwankwaso

Just moments after President Buhari, the former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso gave details of how the screening process of the ministerial nominees will be held on Tuesday, October 13 by the Senate House.

On the 30th of September, President Muhammadu Buhari sent the first batch of the ministerial nominees to the Senate. On Monday, the country leader sent the second batch of the Ministerial list of nominees to the upper houe of the Nigerian Legislature.
The screening of the Ministerial list of nominees is set to start tomorrow.

Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, who is the former Kano state governor and now the senator representing Kano Central, promised the process would be thorough and sincere.

He made this revelation known in Yola on monday the capital of Adamawa state

“In the list are people who have served the country at one stage or the other. We are going to look at every nominee with the stated rules and regulations. Of course there will always be protest about this person or that person, we will look at every petition at it’s merit.”

It will be very important to note that the names of the second batch of Ministerial list of nominees were provided immediately.  Some of those listed might just include Rotimi Akeredolu, Festus Odimegwe, Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Brath Nnaji.
