2016/2017 Nigeria Police Recruitment – Finally for those who have been expecting the final list of 2016/2017 Nigeria Police Recruitment to be out, there is hope now as the Senate Committee on Police Affairs said it is in possession of names of the successful applicants to be enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force. According to the information, the list is from the Inspector General of the Police, Mr Solomon Arase. This means that the said list will be scrutinized to ensure that there is no lopsidedness in the screening exercise.
The committee members also assured the public that they are working with the ministries of Interior and Justice to ensure that a Trust Fund for the Police Force established to complement the budgetary yearly allocations of the force for optimal performance is funded fully well.
The chairman of the committee, Senator Abu Ibrahim while speaking with journalists yesterday, said that his committee was worried over allegations and insinuations that the just concluded recruitment into the Police Force was lopsided; hence there was the need to properly look at the list critically, just to ensure that every zone is properly included in the exercise.
Senator Abu Ibrahim also went further to say that the allocation ofN19billion to the police out of the total sum of N53billion to the ministry of Interior was not enough to transform and reposition the Nigeria police force to combat the various levels of insecurity in the Nation.
